Hello everyone! :) I hope that you all have a wonderful and much blessed Christmas filled with as much friendly and family togetherness as you could wish for. :) Both Mom and I are feeling fine, although it's definitely not looking anything at all like Christmas - absolutely no snow, and yesterday's high was about 72 degrees Celsius outside!

The kitties are really getting into the Christmas spirit - 'Santa Paws' bought them a stocking full of catnip and kitty toys, and the purrs of thanks resounded around the room. Right at the moment, every one of the girls is sprawled about the room sleeping off their excess excitement. Fun was had by all - humans and kitties alike!

May You All Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!

Thursday, November 26, 2015

I hope that all my blog readers in the United States have a very happy Thanksgiving! May your Thanksgiving be filled with great food, wonderful friendship and all the family ties that you may wish for. :) So, Mom and I had turkey au jus, pan fried potatoes and potatoes au gratin; and stew meat. I had canned pears for dessert while Mom had brussel sprouts. We also had an apple pie for dessert. After that, we may watch a movie or read books for the entire day! :)

May all of you have a wonderfully safe and blessed Thanksgiving. Be sure to find some quiet time for yourselves and count your blessings today when and if you can. I know that I'm incredibly thankful for my continued health and happiness, my daughter's continued health and happiness, that we are both comfortable and love each other as much as we do, and that our family is as well as they are. We are also incredibly thankful for our three kitties - Ruby, Leila and Lollipop.

I also hope that everyone who is away from their families at this time, will know that they are sorely missed, truly loved and deeply appreciated by all! God bless all of you, may you have a very happy and wonderful Thanksgiving! :)

May You All Have a Wonderful and Blessed Christmas!

Thursday, December 25, 2014

Hello everyone! :) I hope that you all have a wonderful and much blessed Christmas filled with as much friendly and family togetherness as you could wish for. :) Both Mom and I are feeling fine, although perhaps just the slightest bit blah (not necessarily ill, but just wanting to take it easy for today) - we still intend to enjoy Christmas to the fullest! :)

The kitties are really getting into the Christmas spirit - 'Santa Paws' bought them a stocking full of catnip and kitty toys, and the purrs of thanks are resounding around the room. Lollipop and Leila are currently getting into minor fistipaws over who is going to get to play with the feather bells first (I'm not sure that the twins even realize that there are actually four feather bells in the stocking, so there is one for each of the girls, plus one extra!)

Ruby is currently fascinated by the bag of catnip. Mom opened it for her and she went over the moon! :) She sniffed in the bag, jumped up and rubbed her chin between a couple of gift bags in order to get a chance to investigate a little more closely.

At some point, Leila and Lollipop found out what Ruby was doing and ambled over to see what was going on. So the party had to be moved to the floor - Ruby went over to a special little spot of her own and ate up her catnip treat; and Leila and Lollipop rolled around on the floor like a couple of kittens for a while, and then the twins finally ate their catnip. Fun was had by all - humans and kitties alike! ;)

May You All Have a Blessed Christmas!

Hello everyone! :) I hope that you all have a wonderful and much blessed Christmas filled with as much friendly and family togetherness as you could wish for. :) Both Mom and I are feeling much better this year (last year we both had horrible bouts of flu), but this year we're feeling just fine! Looking forward to Christmas as much as ever.

The kitties are really getting into the Christmas spirit - Ruby lies as close to our little fiberoptic Christmas tree as she can get; Leila has become a little less combative in honor of the Season; and Lollipop is licking everyone and everything in sight - including her own reflection! :) Not too much of a change for Lady Lolli's personality, I suppose, but she did knock over our little Christmas tree about three days ago.

It wasn't plugged in at the time, and nothing was broken, but I think that Lollipop was experiencing a rush of over-excitement at the time. She's now trying to make up for her little slip, and desperately hoping that 'Santa Paws' will forgive her! :)

I hope that all my blog readers in the United States have a very happy Thanksgiving! May your Thanksgiving be filled with great food, wonderful friendship and all the family ties that you may wish for. :) I have to say that Mom and I will not be having the usual Thanksgiving turkey today - it will be smoked ham for us all the way. After that, we will kick up our feet and read books for the entire day! :)

May all of you have a wonderfully safe and blessed Thanksgiving. Be sure to find some quiet time for yourselves and count your blessings today when and if you can. I have to be honest with you all, what with all the recent violence that has occurred in the past months, both Mom and I have felt that Christmas sort of sneaked up on us this year. We both usually are filled with the holiday spirit for the entire month of December, but this year we were filled with intense sadness for all the families who lost loved ones in such horrible circumstances.

Added to that sadness, we are both suffering terrible bouts of the flu. Because neither of us could sleep very well, we found ourselves up and about at 4:45 A. M. It was snowing rather heavily, but we were so incredibly happy to have a white Christmas - I don't believe that we had one last year - that we didn't really mind the snow falling.

We opened our gifts at about 5:30 A. M. I asked if we could say a prayer for all the people that were killed in Connecticut and elsewhere before we opened our presents. We spent an hour opening our gifts and then went back to bed for a while. Between us, we received some really amazing gifts, and all in all we enjoyed a quiet Christmas together.

Have a Truly Blessed Thanksgiving!

To all our online and offline friends may you all have a truly blessed Thanksgiving with your family and friends! We are blessed with happiness, health and enough "wealth" for our needs and wants ourselves. We bask in the love of each other, our extended family, our lovely kitties and our truly dear friends. We are going to settle down to a meal of ham, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, brussell sprouts, peaches and pears for dessert later on in the day. We are also going to watch the movie Julie and Julia as well.

I want to thank all the American service members as well. May you all have a happy and peaceful Thanksgiving around the world. Have a wonderful day!
